Automation of patterned and solar glass cutting and stacking line
In the glass industry, automation is a widely used and well accepted technology in each step of the production. Product modularity and standardization during the design phase allow for easy and fast system integration by combining standard components. Robots work best when the product development and manufacturing processes are designed for robotic application. We define and develop an optimization algorithm based on big bang-big crunch methodology that solves robotized glass cutting problem

Doğuş-USV unmanned sea vehicle: obstacle localization with stereo vision and path planning
Unmanned vehicle systems are becoming increasingly prevalent on the land, in the sea, and in the air. Navigation and path planning in an unknown environment are important tasks for future generation. The objective of this work is to design an unmanned sea vehicle and necessary software that can perform path planning autonomously with using stereo vision. In this paper using potential field algorithm, collision free path is achieved from a starting point to a terminal point
Robotic hand project
In this work, the mechatronic based robotic hand is controlled by the position data taken from the glove which has flex sensors mounted to capture finger bending of the human hand. The angular movement of human hand’s fingers are perceived and processed by a microcontroller, and the robotic hand is controlled by actuating servo motors. It has seen that robotic hand can simulate the movement of the human hand that put on the glove, during tests have done. This robotic hand can be used not only in automation, but also handling operations in dangerous environment for people. The robotic hand is prepared for adding temperature sensors on it. By the help of temperature sensor integrated to the robotic hand, temperature information can also be monitored
Robust adaptive synchronization of dynamic networks with varying time delay coupling using varible structure control
The synchronization problem for a class of delayed complex dynamical networks via employing variable structure control has been explored and a solution proposed. The synchronization controller guarantees the state of the dynamical network is globally asymptotically synchronized to arbitrary state. The switching surface has been designed via the left eigenvector function of the system, and assures the synchronization sliding mode possesses stability. The hitting condition and the adaptive law for estimating the unknown network parameters have been used for designing the controller hence the network state hits the switching manifold in finite time. Two illustrative examples along with the respective simulation results are given, which employ the designed variable structure controllers

Design and kinematic analysis of a two-DOF moving platform as a base for a car simulator
The study starts by modeling a simple 2-DOF (degrees of freedom) moving platform that employs two actuators to provide two kinds of rotational motion on the moving platform and each motion is driven by an electrical motor. A preliminary study to better understand motion generation is conducted by deriving a mathematical model of the platform. Based on this model, the relationship between the rotations of the two driving motors and the pitch and roll movements of the platform is determined. The range of movements must be limited both in the pitch and roll planes to a certain maximum and minimum values of tilting angles. This preliminary design of the platform is introduced to demonstrate motions that might be experienced by the user in roll and pitch directions. The motion generated has fulfilled the constraint with respect to the vestibular system. Results of experimental works show that the first motor angle between -26° and 27° is suitable for the roll plane; meanwhile, the angles range of -52° and 54° for the second motor is suitable for the pitch plane. Furthermore, some simple experiments were conducted to examine the correctness of the model through the comparison between testing results obtained from simulation and experimental work. In the reported results, the moving platform was set to some initial poses and was driven to the home position and the recording showed acceptable results. This moving platform can later be used for more comprehensive experiments, i.e., vehicle dynamic testing, driving training purposes, and human factor analyses
